Academix Academy is the home of Real Martial Arts in Fort Erie. Located at 427 Garrison Road, our 10,000 square-foot facility is one of the cleanest, most modern and well-equipped in the country. Academix members enjoy more than 40 hours per week of programming options for the entire family. Facilitated by a coaching team of martial artists with extensive professional and amateur competitive experience in Brazilian & Japanese Jiu Jitsu, Judo, Kickboxing, Karate, Boxing & MMA, our instructors are credentialed by Boxing Ontario, Muay Thai Ontario & the Ontario Jiu Jitsu Association to provide effective Modern Martial Arts training in our safe, clean & family oriented facility.

Our coaching team includes martial artists with extensive professional and amateur competitive experience in Brazilian & Japanese Jiu Jitsu, Judo, Kickboxing, Karate, Boxing & MMA, credentialed by Boxing Ontario, Muay Thai Ontario and the Ontario Jiu Jitsu Association. Coach Dave leads the boxing and kickboxing classes alongside our youngest groups, and Professor CJ guides students of every experience level through real, effective Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Academix Academy is a proud member of the Jiu Jitsu For Life Team under Professor Jorge Britto, with a lineage running back to Carlos & Helio Gracie through Royler Gracie and Saulo Ribeiro.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a self-defence martial art and combat sport based on grappling, ground fighting and submission holds. BJJ revolves around the concept that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend themselves against a bigger, stronger opponent by using leverage and weight distribution. Academix Academy is a proud member of the Jiu Jitsu For Life Team under Professor Jorge Britto, with a lineage running back to Carlos & Helio Gracie.
Striking culture at Academix Academy is based largely on traditional North American Boxing and Muay Thai. Our coaching team and members have experience with Boxing Ontario in both coaching and competitor roles, and a similar history in competitive Muay Thai. The rigorous training involved is second to none when it comes to athletic conditioning.
Mixed Martial Arts training at Academix melds Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Kickboxing together for rigorous sessions that are both physically and mentally challenging, while participants learn to merge stand-up and ground fighting in a safe, controlled environment suitable for all ages and ambition levels.
Based on HIIT methodology and built from the movements of our core combat sports, FightFit45 and Fit45 offer structured morning workouts. FightFit45 is striking heavy — a third of the session is spent on heavy bags or padwork. Fit45 is strength focussed, with a well-rounded mix of movements designed to maintain and improve strength, flexibility, agility and conditioning.
Our youth classes run in three age bands — Anklebiters for ages 4 to 5, Shinkickers for ages 6 to 9 and Headhunters for ages 10 to 13 — in both Jiu Jitsu and Kickboxing, five days a week. Each group trains at its own level with coaches who specialise in bringing young people into martial arts.
